Using the list type in Icon

In the Icon language, a list is an ordered set of objects. You can put anything in a list---integers, reals, strings, other lists, even entire complex data structures.

To master lists in Icon you need to know just a few things:

• To create an empty list or a list with particular elements in it, see creating an Icon list with specific contents.
• To create an ``array,'' that is, a list with some given number of elements in it, see creating an Icon list of a fixed size.
