Found this article while procrastinating writing yet another essay about why International Relations is a broken discipline. It covers some ideas which are pretty interesting/relevant to the idea that “science” is pretty much only ever theory and not fact, Kuhnian-style revolutions, 200-year expiry date on big theories… Worth a look maybe.
